Sarah joined our hospital in 2005 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She received her B.G.S. in Human Development and Family Life from the University of Kansas and her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology from the Medical Institute of Minnesota.

Since 1985 she has worked in nearly every capacity within veterinary medicine except Doctor or Manager. Her interests outside of work are her family, camping and live music (she has sung in several bands).

She “enjoys the human/animal bond and teaching clients how to better take care of their pets”. Her cats Calvin and Ziggy attest to her love and affection for animals.

Wendy joined LVH in 2007. Her previous nursing experience was with Banfield Pet Hospital in Kansas City. She is currently attending Highland Community College and will begin attending Maple Woods Veterinary Tech Program in the fall of 2008 to obtain her Registered Veterinary Technician  (RVT) degree.

Wendy moved to Kansas 10 years ago from Washington State where she worked with her family on a dairy cattle farm. After moving to Kansas, she met and married her husband.

She has three Tennessee walking horses, Apollo, Willy and Mocha. Her household also includes a dog, Sammie (pictured with Wendy, above) and two cats Taz and Jax.  When she is not working, she enjoys riding, gardening, spending time with her family—which includes all of her pets!

Wendy says, “I have always had a great love for animals and enjoy putting that care into my work at LVH.”

Rebecca joined LVH in 2004. She was certified by the AAHA Veterinary Management Institute for Practice Managers in 2008.

She also multitasks as a nurse and receptionist. She is in touch with all the pulse points that make the hospital run.

Originally from Great Bend Kansas, she moved to Lawrence to attend the University of Kansas.

She has diversified experience in small animal care, foster care, grooming, as a consumer affairs consultant with Hill’s Pet Nutrition (Science Diet), veterinary nurse, receptionist and pet-sitter.

Rebecca shares good company with her pets, Floyd, Joe, Mr. Knightly, Emma, and Naismith.
